Bocage  

Series of drawings in graphite on paper, 45X50 cm, 2018.

These drawings show a screen nature that suggests what was and should no longer be, closed borders marked out with watchtowers. These images attempt to transcribe "The political theory of the bocage" inspired by the genius of the hedge which "separated without walling up, delimited without opacifying, protected without regrowing" according to a definition by Sylvain Tesson.
